The IWP internship program is an academic experience designed to introduce you to the fields of national security, intelligence, and international affairs. Interns have the opportunity to conduct research under one of our scholar-practitioners, attend lectures and seminars relevant to today's most pressing strategic affairs, pursue independent research on a topic of their choosing, audit our graduate-level courses free of charge, experience the sights and sounds of Washington, D.C., network with senior officials in the strategic community, and assist in the ongoing mission of The Institute of World Politics. Interns are encouraged to participate fully in the academic and professional pursuit of national security, intelligence, and international affairs. Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and recent graduates are eligible to apply. Click here for a more detailed description of the program and to learn how to apply.
The Institute has some of the best instructors in the world in their respective fields. These include ambassadors, senior intelligence officials, military officers, presidential advisers, and senior congressional staff members.
